Shift Scheduling

Set weekly schedules per staff member and the system sends automatic WhatsApp reminders before each shift starts. No-shows are tracked automatically so managers have a clear attendance record without chasing anyone. Scheduling takes minutes instead of the WhatsApp group chaos it replaces.

Digital Clock In/Out

Staff clock in from the POS terminal or their own phone, with optional GPS tagging to confirm they are on-site. Buddy punching is impossible because clock-ins are tied to a verified device or location. Every hour worked is recorded accurately and in real time.

Payroll Calculation

Monthly payroll is auto-calculated directly from attendance records, with overtime, deductions, and advances all factored in automatically. Managers no longer need to sit with spreadsheets at month-end — the system produces an accurate payroll run in seconds.

Expense Claims

Staff submit expense claims with supporting photos via WhatsApp and the manager approves or rejects with one tap. Approved claims are automatically added to that month's payroll so nothing falls through the cracks. The entire process is paperless and auditable.

Attendance Reports

Daily, weekly, and monthly attendance reports show late arrivals, early departures, and absenteeism patterns across your team. Managers get a clear picture of reliability per staff member without manually reviewing any timesheets or asking anyone for updates.

Role-Based Access

Define roles — Owner, Manager, Chef, Cashier, Rider — and each role sees only the screens and data relevant to their job. A cashier cannot view salary reports. A branch manager cannot see another branch's staff. Access is controlled without any complex setup.

Leave Management

Staff apply for leave via the app and the manager approves or rejects with one tap. Leave balances are tracked per staff member and payroll is automatically adjusted for unpaid leave. There are no paper leave forms and no manually updated spreadsheets to maintain.

Staff Self-Service

Staff view their own schedule, attendance record, and monthly salary slip via a simple mobile app — without calling the manager to ask. This alone reduces HR-related manager interruptions by 80% and gives staff the transparency they expect from a professional employer.

Tips, shifts, and fair pay

The flow is linear: a staff member clocks in and out, hours accumulate against their record, and monthly salary is calculated directly from those hours with overtime and deductions applied automatically. Late arrivals and missed shifts show up on the attendance report instead of becoming a dispute at month-end. Once payroll is run, disbursement happens by manual bank transfer or JazzCash — the same process already used for the rest of the team.

Equal-Split Pooling

In many Pakistani restaurants, tips collected during a shift are pooled and split equally among everyone who worked it — kitchen and floor staff included. It's simple to explain and feels fair when the whole team contributes to the guest experience, not just the person who delivered the bill. The tradeoff is that a top-performing waiter earns the same tip share as someone who barely engaged with tables.

Points-Based Pooling

Some restaurants split tips by role instead — a waiter might earn more points per hour than a busser, and the pool is divided proportionally rather than equally. This rewards front-of-house roles that drive the guest experience most directly, at the cost of being harder to explain and enforce consistently. Either model works; the right one depends on how the owner wants to weight service versus support roles.

Why Cash Tips Cause Disputes

Untracked cash tips are one of the most common sources of staff disputes in restaurants — when nobody has a record of who worked which shift, disagreements over a fair split are impossible to settle with facts. Attendance and shift records already captured in Kliovo Dine remove the guesswork: who clocked in for a given shift is a matter of record, not memory. End-of-shift distribution, however the owner chooses to pool it, starts from an agreed, visible list of who was actually on the floor.

Shift Swaps Without WhatsApp Chaos

When a staff member needs to swap a shift, the request and approval happen inside the system instead of a WhatsApp group message a manager might miss. The roster only updates once a swap is approved, so the schedule stays accurate and nobody shows up expecting a shift that was quietly given away. Payroll and attendance always follow the roster as it actually stands — not whatever was last agreed in a chat thread.
